AirAsia sponsors the Formula One team Williams

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - A key strategy to reach new markets

(WAPA) - The Malaysian low-cost airline AirAsia yesterday announced a three-year partnership withe the British Formula One team AT&T Williams.

In addition to Manchester United, in fact, the Malaysian carrier has chosen to win new markets through the sports world.

The airline brand, in fact, will be displayed on the helmets of Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz, and on the nose of the cars.

The airline's CEO Dato Tony Fernandes commented the news as follows: "Our rationale to sponsor Williams is to associate our AirAsia brand with Formula One as it is the epitome of technology. One of our brand strategies is also to promote our brand overseas and to reach people via sports marketing and Formula 1 provides an ideal platform for this. We also share the same values as Williams namely quality product, technological precision, world-class performance and efficiency.
