A surcharge for USD 10 for passengers departing from Los Angeles airport
Los Angeles, USA - Due to increasing maintenance and operation costs
(WAPA) - United Airlines yesterday announced it is going to apply a surcharge for USD 10 to passengers leaving from the international airport of Los Angeles.
The measure will take immediately effect, and will be adopted to offset the increase of maintenance and operation costs registered at the airport.
The increase in costs to operate at Los Angeles international airport was due to a raise in the fees set by Los Angeles World Airports, the agency managing the LA airport.
It has been estimated that, in case of a stability in the traffic flow, United Airlines will gain with this new measure additional USD 10 million.
