Ryanair to apply on-line check-in fares
Dublin, Ireland - As from June, 3rd, it will be EUR 5
(WAPA) - Ryanair has announced it will apply a fare of its optional priority boarding service that allows passengers to be first to board their flights. Airport check-in passengers currently pay € 5 for this service, while web check-in passengers receive this service free of charge in order to promote online check-in.
However, from June, 3rd, Ryanair's passengers pay the same € 5 fee payable by airport check-in passengers for priority boarding.
Also from June, 3rd, Ryanair will introduce an on-line name change facility that will allow passengers to make name changes up to 24 hours before travel. This service was previously only available through the Ryanair call centre.
Lorna Farren, Ryanair spokeswoman, said: "Because of the success of our web check-in facility which allows passengers to avoid airport lines, many flights are now selling out all of our allocation of 40% of priority boarding seats".
"These new charges", ended Farren, "Will make the sale of priority boarding fairer for all passengers".
