Chinese government grounds East Star Airlines: too much debts
Beijing, China - The international crisis is putting small airlines on their knees
(WAPA) - The heavy debts that pressing over the private carrier East Star Airlines forced Chinese government to retire its flight license. To announce it a transport department spokesman, Tan Shizhang. "The main reason - he said - is due to the airline not being able to pay back its heavy debts, which has lead to operational difficulties".
Differently from the big national air companies (Air China, China Eastern e China Southern) small carriers didn't get any government aid to face the downturn and are now challenging enormous difficulties due to the lowering of air traffic. (Avionews)
