Iberia discusses an emergency cut plan
Madrid, Spain - Today the Board of the airline
(WAPA) - Following the loss of 100 million in the first quarter 2009, today the Iberia Board of Directors will discuss the approval of a cut plan about personnel, the fleet reduction and a lower offer capability.
This emergency plan, carried out along McKinsey advisor, will be presented to Unions in the next week.
In details: a 4% capability reduction, a cut of five airplanes taken in wet lease with Gestair; the personnel cut particularly in the handling and cargo sector. The merger with British Airways will be discussed today. (Avionews)
