Tomorrow the first flight of the Airbus A-330/200F?
Toulouse, France - The announcement made by the European manufacturer
(WAPA) - The European manufacturer Airbus announced that the first flight of the new cargo aircraft A-330/200F will take place tomorrow, weather permitting, from its headquarters in Toulouse, France. This flight would mark a key milestone in the development of this version of the popular Airbus A-330 airliner.
The certification for the aircraft should be achieved in spring next year, while the first deliveries are scheduled for the following summer. The first A-330/200F is due to be delivered to the cargo branch of Etihad Airways, while the total orders received so far by the manufacturer are 67.
The new airplane is 58.8-meter long and has a 60.3-meter wingspan. Its main deck is 40.8-meter long and has a volume of 336 cubic meters: it can carry up to 23 side-by-side pallets, besides several different configuration options. Its overall cargo volume is 475 cubic meters. The maximum take off weight of the A-330/200F is 233 tonnes and its maximum speed is 1,053 km/h, with a range of 7,400 km. (Avionews)
