Aeroporto di Firenze: Meridiana cedes entire participation share in the society of management to the Savings bank of Florence
Rome, Italy - The entire operation will re-enter in the ambit of extraordinary operations that the airline is doing
(WAPA) - Meridiana, is today no longer a shareholder of the society of management of the airport of Florence. The 17.5% share has been given to the Company Savings bank of Florence for a total amount equal to 28 million and 617 thousand and 584 euro. "Meridiana has given the entire share till now owned by the capital of AdF to the price for 18.1 Euro per share. The surrender foresees that a substantial part of the price is returned in graduated shape and that the relative credit is subsequently given 'For solute' to the bank Mps Leasing and Factoring Bank for the financial services at the enterprises. The surrender of the participation in Airport of Florence SpA appoints one of the extraordinary operations which Meridiana SpA is realising within the bounds of a wider industrial and corporate readjustment of the Group. The air company confirms the own engagement to continue the activities of air transport and for Florence consolidating the own presence in the connections between the 'Vespucci' and the principal Italian and European airports".
The reason for which the Tuscany bank has purchased the Meridiana share in Airport of Florence SpA is read in the note sent to the press from the institute of credit. "With such an initiative the Authority wants to give a concrete support to the recovery of the local economy, being convinced of the importance that the structures airport employees have for the areas in which they are located and for the productive assets, other wanting, between, to help to impress a further impulse to the movement of the tourism of quality and affairs".
