Italian transport minister defers November 25 strikes
Rome, Italy - As stated in a note by the ministry
(WAPA) - The Italian transport minister, Altero Matteoli, has decided to defer the strikes announced by Alitalia-CAI personnel on Wednesday, November 25, "In order -is explained in a note- to avoid a serious and irreparable prejudice to the free circulation right guaranteed by the Italian constitution".
In particular the minister delayed the following protests: of AirOne pilots (10 am - 2 pm) announced by FIT-CISL, UIL Transport and UGL-TA trade unions; of Alitalia-CAI and AirOne pilots and flight attendants (10 am - 2 pm) announced by FILT-CGIL, AVIA, IPA and ANPAC; of Alitalia and AirOne cabin crew (10 am - 2 pm) announced by FIT-CISL, UIL Transport, UGL TA and ANPAV; and participation in the AZ-CAI personnel strike announced by Unione Piloti on November 19, 2009.
