Alitalia: "AMS's sale to be completed in the next days"
Rome, Italy - The announcement made by extraordinary commissioner Augusto Fantozzi
(WAPA) - To complete the deal for the sale of AMS a summoning at Palazzo Chigi is now needed. The maintenance company is currently owned by Alitalia at 60% and by Lufthansa at 40%. The former Italian national carrier's extraordinary commissioner, Augusto Fantozzi, said that "It is now a matter of days, the agreement has been reached. We are waiting to be summoned at Palazzo Chigi for the last round of the table".
The cost of the operation is about € 4 million and will follow the same scheme already adopted with Atitech's facilities in Naples. The new company will be owned by Alitalia, Finmeccanica, and partially by former Finmeccanica manager Maurizio Tucci. (Avionews)
