Italian Enac suspends licence to Livingston airline
Rome, Italy - Starting from Thursday October 14th 2010, at midnight
(WAPA) - "Enac (Italian authority for civil aviation), at the end of a meeting held on Friday with the leaders of the air company Livingston, announced that the airline still shows evident signs of criticality and that it is no longer able to guarantee the company continuity according to what's provided by the community regulations about air transport.
Therefore Enac, taken note of the impossibility, expressly declared by the carrier, to continue its operations, ordered the suspension of its air transport license starting from midnight on October 14, 2010.
Enac has ordered the air company, in accordance with the current regulations, to provide for the re-protection of passengers in the remaining days before the license suspension, focusing primarily on passengers whom are abroad waiting to come back to Italy". (Avionews)
