Norwegian aviation industry: a positive August; Oslo +7%
Oslo, Norway - Bergan Airport, which recently opened a new terminal, saw traffic growth of 4.4%
(WAPA) - This year, Oslo Airport enjoyed growth totalling 7% compared with August last year. Bergen Airport, which recently opened a new terminal, saw traffic growth of 4.4%, while the volume of traffic to and from Stavanger and Trondheim was virtually unchanged compared to last year.
The August figures show the same trend as July, with significant growth for popular tourist destinations such as the Svolvær (+41.1%), Leknes (+26.2%), Røros (+26.4%), Stokmarknes (+27.9%) and Tromsø (+8.8%).
So far this year, around 35 million passengers have travelled via Avinor's airports, which is an increase of 4.6% compared to last year. (Avionews)
