Airplanes of the new Air France's airline Joon are taking off today
Paris, France - New routes for the next months were also announced yesterday
(WAPA) - First flights today for Joon, the new airline of the Air France-KLM Group: from the Paris-Roissy "Charles de Gaulle" Airport its airplanes will fly to Barcelona (Spain), Berlin (Germany), Porto and Lisbon (Portugal).
The day before the first takeoff at an inaugural ceremony that was attended by Franck Terner -CEO of Air France- and Jean-Michel Mathieu -CEO of Joon- seven new routes were announced, that starting from March 25, 2018, will connect the Paris-Roissy airport with Istanbul (Turkey), Naples and Rome (Italy), Oslo (Norway), Cairo (Egypt), Cape Town (South Africa) and Tehran (Iran), destinations that add to the two ones that were already announced from next May to Mahé (Seychelles) and Fortaleza (Brazil).
Mathieu announced 25.000 tickets at particularly low prices; French press highlighted anyway how outside the special offer average prices are higher than those of traditional low-cost carriers: Joon would be a "hybrid" airline that also offers for example on medium-haul flights a service of business class and a premium class on long-haul flights.
