Alitalia: in the Cimoli's plan maybe the purchase of 28 A-320?
Rome , Italy - The Government assesses the reorganization of the long haul activity divided between "Fiumicino" and "Malpensa"
(WAPA) - Giancarlo Cimoli, CEO of Alitalia, on October 19 will present the new industrial plan 2007-2009, in which could be predicted the purchase of 28 Airbus A-320, while the Government is studying a plan in which should have to be a reorganization of the long haul activity, divided between "Fiumicino" and "Malpensa", with a raise for the airport of Rome. The priority to the Roman hub meets the favours of the vice-premier Francesco Rutelli, supporter for an Asian partnership, and of the Transport Minister's technicians. Also Gianfranco Fini is in favour of "Fiumicino", and in his opinion: "Our State can not think to have two great international airports". Also the Premier Romano Prodi should looks toward Eastern. About the alliances theme, the production manager AZ, Giancarlo Schisano, has affirmed: "It is a theme that the Government advokes itself, we hope to make the technique arm". (Avionews)
