United Kingdom to open new UAV test centre

London, United Kingdom - "We will improve safety, we will improve profitability"

A new test centre for UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, remote-controlled drones) is expected to be opened in the United Kingdom in April 2013. The centre will be hosted by the test site of Boscombe Down, and is going to be called "Unmanned Air Systems Capability Development Centre" (UASCDC). The UK Ministry of Defence has developed the programme alongside the science and technology company Qinetiq....
