Double scramble of US' aircraft to intercept four Russian bombers at 80 km from California shores

The Pentagon revealed that on Monday 9 June 2014 the United States Air Force (USAF) intercepted twice some Russian bombers which were flying very close to US' shores. Four Tupolev Tu-95 "Bear" apporached the US' airspace above the western Aleutian Islands (a group of islands in northern Pacific Ocean, west of Alaska), and were intercepted by two US' F-22s.
