Italian-Turkish-French cooperation for the defence missile system development in Turkey
Ankara, Turkey - The Defence Minister Fikri Isik announced it yesterday
The Turkish Defence Minister Fikri Isik announced on Wednesday that Turkey will collaborate with Italy and France, in particular with the joint-venture Eurosam, to develop a national missile defence system. The minister explained that the project is about development of systems, rather than acquire missile. “We arrange for meeting our immediate requests acquiring S-400 systems, and simultaneously we would develop our national air and missile defence national systems”, Isik said it in an interview to the Turkish State tv “TRT Haber”. “All technical work has been completed and we arrived to the final decision to purchase S-400 systems from Russia”.
