Meridiana: MD-80 aircraft make their final scheduled flights next Tuesday

Olbia, Italy - Its 165-seat airplanes' retirement will be completed in Spring 2018

Since 1984, the Meridiana MD-80 aircraft has carried everyone from Europe and Italy to the Costa Smeralda beaches. On Tuesday October 31st. its final scheduled job will be the IG1116 commercial flight from Rome-Fiumicino to Olbia-Costa Smeralda, taking off at 9:35pm and touching back down on Sardinian soil at 10:30pm.
