China: great progress in military aviation technologies
Tested the night flight refuelling on the J-10B and a new version of the Y-9
The Chinese technological evolution continues in the military context after a Chengdu J-10B aircraft refuelled during the night, thus demonstrating both the high level of training and the capabilities of the on-board systems. In this task the J-10B will be able to remain in flight theoretically for many days -obviously net of the pilot's physical fatigue- improving the projection capabilities of the Beijing armed forces, waiting for the Chengdu J-20 to enter service also that generational leap to fleet planes.
Not only with regard to the fighters and fighter-bombers, however, China is making progress, because -as reported by the local press- the aeronautics has introduced a new version of the Shaanxi Y-9 in fleet, in addition to being able to carry military, can also perform medical evacuations also working as a "flying hospital".
