Tripoli Airport: rebel militias occupy the infrastructure
Flights diverted to Misrata
Once finished the Palermo conference organized by the Government to try to find a political solution to the conflict in Libya, rebel militiamen of the 7th Brigade announced that they had conquered and occupied the Tripoli airport. After the repeated closures at the end of August and the beginning of September, once again the flight operations of the aircraft to Tripoli are suspended until an agreement is reached or until the government forces of Fayez al-Sarraj fail to regain control of the airport. For the moment, the flights have moved to the Misrata airport, giving further power and political weight to General Khalifa Haftar.
