Iran: Boeing B-707 crashes on landing
Pilot would have wrong airport -3 VIDEO and PHOTO
A Boeing B-707/300 aircraft -registration EP-CPP- of the Iranian Air Force crashed this morning on landing at Fath Airport. The bad weather and probably a pilot error are the causes of this accident; in addition, the cargo aircraft would have had to land at Payam airport and not at Fath, both with parallel runways and 10 km distant. Presumably during the approach, the pilot, realizing the error, was unable to carry out the reattachment and the plane crashed against the wall of the airport igniting. On board the Boeing B-707 there were 16 people and according to the first reports 7 of these would have died.
