Boeing (2): suspended order for 100 B-737 MAX from Chinese Group
It will remain so until the new airworthiness certification
The order from 100 aircraft Boeing B-737 MAX made by China Aircraft Leasing Group would have been suspended by the same Chinese Group, after the two disasters that occurred to two models B-737 MAX 8 of Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines due to a problem to the software of the automatic anti-stall system (MCAS). The news was reported by the "South China Morning Post" newspaper, which reports the statements of China Everbright CEO and president of China Aircraft Leasing Group Chen Shuang, who said that the purchase and payment of installments are been suspended at least until the B-737 MAX is re-certified all over the world, ensuring its reliability and safety. This news has caused Boeing to lose more than 4% on the stock market, also because in total the agreement is worth almost 10 billion dollars and could be the first of a long series to be suspended.
