After a six-hour journey, on September 25th, the "Soyuz" spaceship docked with the International Space Station (ISS) carrying the first UAE astronaut Hazzaa Ali Almansoori, the American Jessica Meir and the Russian Oleg Skripochka. The astronauts were welcomed by their colleages Nasa Alexey Ovchinin, Christina Koch, Nick Hague and Andrew Morgan, by Russian cosmonaut Roscosmos Alexander Skvortsov and the Italian ESA (European Space Agency) Luca Parmitano who will take command on October 2.
"AstroLuca" will be the first Italian and the third European at the head of the ISS for four months: in November, spacewalks and remote management of a robot on Earth are planned.
