"Brexit": Johnson presented his offer to the EU
The speech during the conference of the Conservative Party - VIDEO
Today, Wednesday October 2, Boris Johnson presented his final offer on "Brexit" to the European Union and the hypothesis of a "no-deal" for October 31 is becoming more concrete (see AVIONEWS).
According to "Telegraph" Johnson would like to propose an Ireland aligned to the single market until 2025 with a "double border": one between Great Britain and Northern Ireland and one between the latter and the Republic of Ireland with the aim of restricting the border checks as much as possible.
Meanwhile, the first No has arrived from Dublin: Helen McEntee, Ireland's Minister for European Affairs, has declared that she is against the design of the United Kingdom's prime minister, defining the "Brexit" plan as unacceptable and economically harmful.
Mina Andreeva, spokesman for the EU Commission, said that by the day today European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the British Prime Minister will start a telephone conversation.
