Japan: for the typhoon the work of helicopters continues

The death toll reaches 56 people, the airports closed - VIDEO

In Japan, the violent typhoon "Hagibis" caused the death of 56 people, 15 missing and almost 200 wounded, and the budget would still seem destined to grow. Declared a state of emergency, there are thousands of structures and homes without electricity with water that has reached the first floors of the buildings. According to local media it would be the most aggressive typhoon of the last 60 years. In many areas of the country, from the capital Tokyo to the prefectures, there have been overflows of at least nine rivers since Sunday due to torrential rains and in some cases people have been forced to seek refuge on rooftops before being rescued by helicopters.

The cyclone caused the cancellation of air connections to and from the airports of Tokyo. "Hagibis" is the nineteenth typhoon since the beginning of 2019, ranked at the fifth power (maximum) and defined as the most dangerous: it has also passed "Faxai", arrived in Japan in September causing the death of two people flooding and electrical blackouts (see AVIONEWS).
