Regular aircraft links between Crimea and Armenia in Spring
The first after the reunification of the Peninsula with Russia
Alexei Chernyak, head of the Parliamentary commission for tourism, resorts and Crimean sport, has announced the forthcoming opening of regular aircraft connections between Crimea and Armenia, the first ones after the reunification of the Peninsula with Russia in 2014. The routes will connect Simferopol with Yerevan, in Armenia, starting from next March twice a week with the possibility of increasing them upon request until and no later than one flight per day. The first connections will be operated by Ikar Airlines (carrier based in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, which operates national and international charter connections for both passengers and cargo. Since 2015 it has operated flights with the commercial name Pegas Fly). The airline has already received the necessary authorizations, while the flight schedule and agreements with the airports of the two cities are still being finalized.
