United States: MQ-9 Reaper early deployed in Romania?

Built a new hangar that could accommodate the drone

In the Câmpia Turzii Air Base in Romania, the US Air Force (USAF) could soon send the UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) MQ-9 Reaper, for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) operation in Eastern Europe and in the Black Sea.

Obviously there is no certainty of this because USAF rarely communicates the future movements of the air units, especially for the drones. Meanwhile, the hangar that should host the Reaper in Romania was built to meet all the safety requirements for UAVs, although this could also be used for the F-15 and A-10.

Deploying the MQ-9 Reaper in Romania for neighboring NATO countries would be important because it would increase the American presence in the area, making possible -and unlikely- Russian military actions increasingly impossible. In addition, the same drones -only in disarmed version- were sent to Poland to perform the same ISR tasks, since the use of the Reaper in the armed configuration is limited to areas where the United States can be assured of having total air superiority .

If they were to be sent to Romania, the United States would give the umpteenth demonstration of considering the Black Sea area -from where the Russian fleet moves towards the Mediterranean Sea- in the same way as the Baltic area, or as an important crossroads the increasingly aggressive politics perpetrated by Moscow.
