Venice Airport: malfunction at ground radar

Many flights delayed

Huge difficulties at the Venice-Tessera airport where, due to a serious malfunction of the ground radar, there are many flights in delays, so much so that the management company -Save- has published on its website a notice for travellers asking to monitor the status of the flight and in case contact the airline of reference. If the problem should persist in the next few hours, surely many aircraft will remain at ground while those directed to Venice will be diverted to nearby airports, causing a lot of inconvenience to passengers and airlines at a time of year when the maximum traffic peaks are reached via the Christmas holidays.
