Mirage 2000 aircraft incident: the two pilots died

The research of all the wreck continues to give way to the investigations

The two pilots who were on board of the French Air Force Dassault Mirage 2000D aircraft that crashed the day before yesterday near the Swiss border died. This was announced yesterday by Minister of Defense Florence Parly who made official what was suspected from the beginning, since the emergency radio and the locators of the ejection seats of the French multirole fighter have not been activated as well as not having been found any parachutes in the area. The research will now be oriented no more to the search of the two crewmembers, but only to try to reconstruct the events that led the plane to crash during a low-level training flight. The aeronautics and the Gendarmerie are working to recover all the wreckage of the Mirage 2000D so as to allow investigation to start. Today the Minister Florence Parly and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General Philippe Lavigne, will travel to the Nancy-Ochey Air Base from which the fighter had taken off.
