Rocket against Saudi airport arrival hall
Launched by Yemenite rebels at the Abha airport in southern Arabia
The Houthi through their broadcaster "Al-Masirah TV" claimed it: the rebels that control the Yemeni capital Sana'a launched an attack with a cruise missile against Abha airport. The arrival hall of the Saudi international airport in the south of the country was hit last night. There are 26 wounded, all civilians.
Colonel Turki al-Maliki, a spokesman for the Saudi-led military coalition that supports government forces in the conflict in Yemen, spoke of a very serious terrorist attack aimed at hitting the civilian population, explaining that thousands of passengers and citizens of various nationalities".
"The military and security forces are working to determine the type of bullet used in the terrorist attack -he continued- while the Houthi militias, through their media, have claimed full responsibility for this terrorist act". What happened at the Abha airport "could amount to a war crime", and the type of weapons held by the rebels shows that "the Iranian regime continues to support terrorism", the colonel concluded.
Among the wounded are three women of Saudi, Indian and Yemeni nationality respectively, and two Saudi minors.
