EC-135T1 helicopter crashes in Germany
Civilian model operated for the Bundeswehr school: 1 victim, 1 seriously injured
An EC-135T1 helicopter crashed at 1:45 pm local at the edge of a forest in the German town of Aerzen, in Lower Saxony. According to preliminary information, it would be a civil aircraft used by the Bundeswehr for training its pilots. The helicopter had risen in flight from the air base of Bückeburg where it was stationed -head of the International Helicopter Training Center- with two people on board. The aircraft crashed about 30 kilometers away due to causes still unknown in a corn field, catching fire in the impact with the ground. The aircraft was completely destroyed. One soldier, a woman, died, while the other was rescued in serious condition.
