New Russian guided bomb K-029BE at "MAKS-2019"
The first contracts have already been signed
According to the Russian agency "TASS", a new 1500 kg guided aerial bomb called K-029BE, equipped with a satellite-guided system was presented at "MAKS-2019", (see AVIONEWS), an international aerospace event ongoing in the city of Zhukovsky, from August 27th to September 1st. The organizers of the show are The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the State hi-tech company "Rostec" and 827 companies from 33 countries are taking part in the initiative.
"Region SSPE", State Association for Research and Production in Russia (part of "Tactical Missiles Corporation", a major Russian arms manufacturer, in particular missiles) would have already concluded export contracts for the delivery of the UPAB-1500 guided bomb the next generation, said CEO Igor Krylov, today on August 29, during the same event. "The technical tests of the UPAB-1500 (or K-029BE) have been completed and these weapons will be handed over to the military units", said the managing director.
