Alitalia: bridge loan of 400 million euros in the tax decree
New help waiting for the binding offer
400 millions of Euro in the tax decree for Alitalia: it is the new bridge-loan that will allow the Italian carrier to receive a new injection of liquidity while Atlantia, Delta, Ferrovie dello Stato with Mise (Ministry of Development economic) present the final binding offer scheduled for November 21. Economic Development Minister Stefano Patuanelli has authorized a further extension for the presentation of the binding offer for the new Alitalia on November 21, 2019, subject to two conditions: "direct intervention by the commissioners and immediate comparison with the bidders; a request for a daily update on the progress of the work".
An inevitable decision given that, as already stated by Francesco Alfonsi, UGL national secretary "without a further loan, Alitalia could remain 'without gas'".
The airline is already under observation by the Antitrust Authority for State aid granted in the past and for this reason the money must be returned within 6 months with the application of the Euribor interest rate plus one thousand basis points.
Unfortunately, unlike what was promised in the previous Government are planned cuts, redundancies and the revision of the routes.
