Russia: NASA request accepted to host American astronauts
They will travel again in the "Soyuz" spaceships
The head of the Russian space company "Roscosmos" Dmitry Rogozin accepted NASA's request to welcome the American astronauts on the "Soyuz" spacecraft to allow them to arrive at the ISS (International Space Station) in the period between 2020 and 2021.
According to the research and experimentation training center "Yuri Gagarin", the crew of the next expedition to the International Space Station in the Spring of 2020 on board the "Soyuz MS-16" will be made up of the Roscosmos cosmonauts Nikolai Tikhonov and Andrei Babkin with NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy. In the Autumn of the same year, on board the "Soyuz MS-17", pending further provisions in view of the new request, there would only be Russian cosmonauts: these were Anatoly Ivanishin, Ivan Vagner and Nikolai Chub . The same will happen in the Spring on "Soyuz MS-18" with Sergei Ryzhikov, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Korsakov .
