Roscosmos-Nasa, is cooperation closer?

Russia has opened up to a fruitful partnership

United States and Russia are used to looking at each other with suspicion, even if there seems to be some less perplexity regarding the aerospace sector. In the last few hours, the number one of the Russian agency Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, has opened in no uncertain terms to a profitable partnership with NASA (read also the article published by AVIONEWS). On the sidelines of the international economic forum that took place in St. Petersburg, Rogozin explained how Roscosmos is open to any collaboration with NASA, in the event that the Americans were really interested in this project. There would be no shortage of ideas, especially if you look at the benefits for the industry we are talking about. In the coming days there will be several telephone negotiations, starting with the one with Bill Nelson, number one of NASA. There is still some perplexity regarding the sanctions against Moscow which would not make such a partnership very easy, even if there is no lack of optimism. The forum in which Rogozin took part will last until tomorrow, Saturday June 5, 2021, and was organized by the Roscongress Foundation. The phrase used this year is “Together again, economy of new reality”, a motto that heralds other industrial and scientific collaborations. The United States is currently focused on the Martian mission, with the Ingenuity drone marking a new page when it comes to this type of exploration. The Russians have struck a beat, will the Americans be able to do the same?
