Carriers using B-737 Max airplane
To date, there are 480 aircraft in passenger-transport service

As of January 1st 2022 there are approximately 480 B-737 Max aircraft operating in passenger-transport service for 38 airlines worldwide. Half of the aircraft of this type fly in the United States and Canada. Among the variants on the market, the Max 8 is the main one, covering 80% of the family's aircraft, while the remaining part is made up of the larger Max 9, while no company currently uses the Max 7 or Max 10.
American Southwest has got 69 airplanes and ranks first among those who own the most. The airline is currently only partially utilizing its fleet, operating 288 scheduled flights. It is followed by United Airlines, which is deploying 16 Max 8s and 30 Max 9s. Finally, Ryanair and Germany's Tui employ 41 and 28 aircraft respectively. While Panama's flag carrier Copa Airlines and Alaska Airlines exclusively use the Max 9.
This is a popular family of aircraft because it combines good flight range, reasonable seating capacity and much lower fuel consumption than the previous generation of aircraft. Together with the A-321neo, the B-737 Max is helping to reshape the long-haul air transport market. Suffice it to say that four more Boeing planes in the family were delivered just before the New Year.
