At the start in Ukraine peace negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegation. Kiev requests an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of Soviet soldiers and vehicles from the territory. Moscow demands the demilitarization of the country and the renunciation of entry into the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) by Kiev.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian delegation arrived by helicopter at the meeting place, located in Belarus, along the border with Ukraine. However, there is much skepticism about the successful outcome of the negotiations. Not only because the meeting was promoted by Belarusian President Aljaksandr Lukashenko, a not first-rate politician worldwide and very close to Russian Vladimir Putin. But also because the Moscow delegation is not composed of diplomatic and military experts, but of second-rate figures in the Russian executive. 

Difficult to arrive at an immediate cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, the Russian news agency "Ria Novosti" also confirms. Meanwhile, the representative of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, said that negotiations began at 10:00 am Italian time.
