Ukrainian conflict: bombs in Sumy
At least ten people killed; humanitarian corridor started to evacuate civilians

Local authorities in the Ukrainian city of Sumy announced that a Russian air raid that took place tonight in the capital of the homonymous district, in the north-eastern part of Ukraine, caused the killing of ten civilians at least, including some children. According to the Arab TV station "Aljazeera" at least 1700 foreign students are stranded in the city.
"Residential buildings were hit in some areas and several homes were destroyed when an bomb hit an area near the center". In addition, four Ukrainian servicemen were killed in "unequal combat with the Russian military". This was announced on social networks by the governor of Sumy district, Dmytro Zhyvytskyi.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Minister of Integration of the occupied territories, Iryna Vereschurk, announced the launch today of a humanitarian corridor (until 9:00pm, in Italy 8:00pm) from Sumy towards Poltava, also in Ukraine, to allow the evacuation of civilians from the besieged cities. The agreement was signed with the Russian Ministry of Defense and the International Red Cross.
