Announcement of Russian Defense Minister Shoigu to Security Council
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced today a strengthening of Russia's western borders. The statement was made at a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation attended by President Vladimir Putin, the Russian news agency "Ria Novosti" reports it.
"The General Staff is developing and in fact completing a plan to strengthen our western borders, moving combat units there to protect the western borders of the Russian Federation. As for the actions taken in this regard by the NATO countries, as in response to what they are doing is required to prepare a report. Based on the results we will make an appropriate decision", said the Russian President.
The strengthening of Russia's western borders will take place, according to what the top leaders of the Moscow Army said, through the dispatch of new units, including armored vehicles, soldiers and aircraft.
