The first 20 days of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict

Under siege the cities of Kiev and Mariupol. Diplomatic channels multiply

Twenty days after the beginning of the Russian armed invasion of Ukraine, the capital Kiev is increasingly under siege by the Army led by Moscow, with continuous artillery fire and aerial bombing of critical infrastructures. The resistance of Kiev continues, also thanks to the armaments supply coming from abroad, with which they inflict hard blows against the fleet of Russian military vehicles and aircraft.

It was stated in recent hours on the Ukrainian government website. "The enemy is trying to capture Mariupol. No sign of a naval landing operation has been found in the operational areas of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov", the Kiev executive states.

Meanwhile, today the prime ministers of Poland, Czech Republic and Slovenia will go to the Ukrainian capital to meet the local president Volodymyr Zelensky. In these last few days Kiev is at the center of a hard attack: at least three explosions have been heard this night in the residential areas of the urban agglomeration. NATO leaders are considering an extraordinary meeting in Brussels at the end of next week, which should be attended by US President Joe Biden.
