Plane crash in China: many questions

The dynamics of the vertical descent raises many doubts among the experts

Flight 5735 operated by China Eastern Airlines with a Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft was at an altitude of 29,100 feet when something went wrong. It was in the skies over the hills of southern China. Then at 2:20 p.m. on March 21, the aircraft crashed to the ground. The aircraft was seven years old. Among the three pilots sitting in the cabin was a seasoned aviator with decades of experience behind him. What happened.

When the aircraft began to lose altitude, air traffic controllers made several calls to the aircraft, but they all went unanswered. In addition, the pilots did not send mayday messages. The aircraft went from over 20,000 feet to 7,400 feet in less than a minute, then the aircraft gained 1,200 feet before finally crashing to the ground, killing all 132 people on board.

Recovering black box data will be critical to understanding what happened. At the moment the technicians of the National Transportation Safety Board (Ntsb) are analyzing the Cockpit Voice Recoirder (Cvr) that stores the audio in the cockpit. Meanwhile, the disaster has raised questions about the safety of air transport in China. For this reason Beijing has grounded 223 Boeing 737/800 of China Eastern Airlines and its subsidiaries. There are many questions and hypotheses. The first answers are awaited.
