Ukrainian conflict: more weapons from the US
Hundreds of armed drones and thousands of anti-tank missiles on the way
The US government has arranged to send military armaments to Ukraine. These include thousands of anti-aircraft and anti-tank missile systems, hundreds of drone drones, night vision devices, and over 50 million rounds of ammunition. These are some of the items on an updated list of military systems, some of which Washington has already sent and Kiev has already received.
"US support for Ukraine's security includes: more than 1,400 Stinger anti-aircraft systems; more than 5,000 Javelin anti-tank systems; more than 7,000 other anti-tank systems; hundreds of Switchblade explosive drones; more than 7,000 small arms and ammunition; and more than 50 million rounds of ammunition", the US Defense Department writes in a note.
The list continues: "45,000 sets of body armor and helmets; laser-guided missile systems; Puma unmanned aerial systems; four unmanned aerial vehicle surveillance and anti-aircraft radars; secure communications systems; commercial satellite imaging services; protective devices for neutralizing explosive objects; and medical supplies, including first aid kits".
