The Franco-Dutch airline group Air France-KLm has released its financial results for the first quarter of the year in these hours. The figures show a clear recovery over the past year. Net losses amounted to 552 million euros (they were 930 million in the first three months of last year), revenues rose to 4.445 billion (2.284 in 2021), while Ebitda is at 221 million euros. 

"In spite of a challenging context, with the continued effect of the Omicron variant, the situation in Ukraine and the sharp increase of fuel prices, the Group posted once again a positive Ebitda and recorded strong bookings for the following quarters. March was notably very encouraging with a significant increase in demand for corporate and premium traffic, complementing the already strong leisure and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) demand across our worldwide network", stressed CEO, Benjamin Smith. 

With the strong upturn in bookings recorded in March and the summer season just around the corner, the airline expects strong performance throughout 2022. Specifically: returns above 2019 during the hot months of 2022, a balanced budget in the second quarter, a "significantly positive result" in the next three months.
