Croatia buys Subaru Bell 412EPX helicopters

First contract signed in Europe on this new model

Croatia's Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic has signed a contract with U.S. company Bell Textron for the purchase of two Subaru Bell 412EPX multipurpose helicopters. The value of the agreement is 36.2 million euros. This order makes the Zagreb government the first European state to buy this aircraft model, which is the latest version of the popular Bell 412. Deliveries are expected in 15 months. 

The new rotary-wing aircraft will become part of the Interior Ministry's fleet. They will be used made available for the needs of the Croatian Civil Defense, for missions of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service, and finally for emergency medical transport. 

This type of helicopter is characterized by a marked increase in maximum load capacity on board. its maximum speed is 60 knots. The Subaru Bell 412EPX has all the upgrades in the range. This makes this aircraft a reliable and efficient vehicle to be entrusted with complex operations and crisis situations.
