ITA Airways participates in the 2023 edition of "IMEX" in Frankfurt

The event will take place from 23 to 25 May

ITA Airways will take part in "IMEX 2023", the leading International Fair for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE), which will be held in Frankfurt from 23 to 25 May.

The Italian flagship carrier will be present at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center, with a stand located in the pavilion dedicated to Italy in Hall 8 (Stand D400) inside the ENIT (Italian Tourism Board) area. Here the ITA Airways local team will meet the key players in the MICE sector at international level, including travel agents, tour operators and trade partners to showcase its offering and discuss future strategies, priorities and goals of the segment.

In the spotlight at the Frankfurt show is the recently launched ITA Airways offer for MICE traffic which includes a dedicated ITA Airways Team and tailor-made conditions for this specific segment featuring a great growth potential.

Whether it’s the case of small corporate meetings or large events with more than 40 participants, trade fairs or conferences, ITA Airways allows its MICE customers to travel individually, enjoying a preferential offer tailored to their travel needs. The goal is to make travel as easy, relaxing and sustainable as possible. For needs related to Individual travel, the Company offers dedicated airfares in Business, Premium and Economy Class for travel in the seven days before and after the event, as well as planning and management of all requests through a single contact point and all-round customer service responding to requests sent to [email protected]. For any group-related M.I.C.E. requirements, customers can contact the dedicated ITA Airways Sales Team.

The airline is constantly committed to growth: in the 2023 Summer season the Company is offering 64 destinations, including 10 intercontinental ones. Long haul continues to be the focus of ITA Airways' investments with the opening of new routes from its hub in Rome-Fiumicino to Washington starting on June 2 and to San Francisco from July 1. In addition to the new flights to North America, the Company is also offering a new direct route from Rome-Fiumicino to Rio de Janeiro which will be available in the winter season and will complete with the flights to Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo the offer in the South American market. These new destinations join those operated in the Asia-Pacific area with Tokyo-Haneda, New Delhi and Malé (Maldives) and the network of destinations in the United States with New York, Boston, Miami and Los Angeles.

In the German market, the carrier currently offers 114 weekly flights between Germany and Italy, with direct connections from Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Düsseldorf airports to the Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Linate airports. In addition, there are connections to the entire route network in Italy and the rest of the world, including South American destinations in Brazil and Argentina as well as seasonal connections to the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Majorca and Menorca) and other Mediterranean destinations.

Sustainability has been one of its strategic pillars since day one. Crucial to the company's Sustainability Plan is the renewal of its fleet: by end of this plan, it will feature 80% new generation aircraft, consuming 25% less fuel and reducing CO2 emissions and allowing the Company to become the greenest airline in Europe.

All its flights can be purchased on ita-airways.com, or through the Company's call-center, travel agencies and airport ticket offices.
