NUMBER OF RUSSIAN AIRPORTS DROP

MOSCOW, Russian Deputy Transport Minister Karl Ruppel said the number of airports in Russia fell by 37 to 496 this year. The closure of some regional airports is due to the unsurfaced landing strips.
