Italy-Usa: agreement on satellites

Rome, Italy - Alenia-Teledisc joint venture

The Italian aerospace company Alenia, and the Us "worldlife" broad band connections supply firm, Teledisc, signed an agreement for a two medium-Earth-Orbit satellites co-production. Agreement with Alenia is part of a wider strategy to improve Teledisc telecommunications satellite network. In 2002 Teledisc foresees a USDbn 9 worth plan with the launch of 288 satellites. (m/cesn)
