RUSSIA TO SCHEDULE 29 SPACE LAUNCHES IN 2001

MOSCOW, Sergei Dervyashkin, spokesman for Russia's Strategic Rocket Forces, said 22 rockets will be launched from Russia's Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakstan and will send into orbit some satellites. Two manned Soyuz space capsules will be launched for the international space station. The other seven launches will be carried out from facilities in Russia's Arctic and Far East.
