US Air Force downgrades maintenance contract with Lockheed

The US Air Force has downgraded an already subscribed contract with Lockheed Martin for the replacement of the engines for 111 military transport aircraft, scaling it back from $11,1 to 7,7 billion, due to a costs overrun of more than 50% on the planned costs.
