RUSSIA AND UKRAINETO START AN-70 PRODUCTION SOON

MOSCOW, The production of the Russian-Ukrainian Antonov An-70 cargo plane will start sometime in 2002. "The An-70 is practically ready for serial production. All we need to do is to wrap up test flights of the An-70 that crash-landed this January in Omsk. Repair work on the plane is being completed now", said Alexander Kyva, head of Antonov's marketing department.
