Alitalia: Alessio Vinci resigns as Head of Communications
Rome, Italy - Alitalia announced today that Alessio Vinci, Senior Vice President Corporate Communications, has resigned from the airline to take up new career challenges.
In an official statement, Luigi Gubitosi, Extraordinary Commissioner for Alitalia, said: "I would like to thank Alessio Vinci for everything he has done for Alitalia and I am sorry to see him go. Having worked with him in recent weeks, I was able to witness firsthand how much effort, dedication and professionalism he brought to this job. I have no doubts that these attributes will stand him in excellent stead in his future professional endeavors". Alessio Vinci said: “I would like to thank the former Chairman of Alitalia, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, for having given me this extraordinary opportunity. And I would also like to thank everybody with whom I had the privilege of working within the airline. There are many talented professionals capable of facing up to the challenges that lie ahead for Alitalia. I wish my colleagues all the very best."
